Kate Love RP(Q)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Reaching out to begin therapy requires vulnerability, trust, and the desire to know oneself better. I have worked extensively supporting clients in various reproductive health stages including fertility, pregnancy, birth, postpartum and perimenopause. I also support clients processing birth trauma, perinatal depression and/or anxiety and parenting issues.
I have a specific focus on supporting individuals navigating the complexity of grief and loss. I support clients riding the roller coaster of grief. This can include death, fertility, navigating pregnancy loss, termination, and a wide range of other experiences. My therapeutic approach helps clients work through the various stages and range of emotions they may feel after a loss. I use a trauma-informed approach to hold space for you to explore your loss, including finding ways to endure the pain and strategies to cope while also honouring you as the expert in your own life.
In terms of my approach, I blend multiple modalities and experiences to meet the unique needs of my clients. I draw from Client-Centered Therapy (CCT), Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as mindfulness and ritual practices. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice. Overall, my goal as a therapist is to bear witness and create spaces for my clients to process, heal, and thrive.
