Yasmin Ahmad Psychotherapist at Bloom Well Therapy

Yasmin Ahmad RP

Registered Psychotherapist

I provide online therapy across Ontario for individuals navigating complex emotional experiences, identity development, and relationship challenges. My work is grounded in culturally responsive care, compassion, and a deep belief that healing happens when we feel truly seen and understood.

Many of us carry burdens—past and present—that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. These lived experiences can impact our mental, emotional, and physical well-being, often in quiet but powerful ways.

I work collaboratively with you to explore your goals, strengths, and needs. My therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and culturally sensitive frameworks. I strive to offer a safe, welcoming space where you can show up authentically and feel supported throughout your therapeutic journey.

Experience

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I have worked extensively with individuals exploring reproductive mental health concerns, as well as those navigating racial identity, intergenerational family dynamics, and acculturation stress. I bring a special interest in supporting South Asian clients and multiracial individuals seeking to better understand how cultural narratives shape their lives. I have also presented internationally on multiracial identity development and its psychological impact.
